Splice Originals Palestinian Roots with Zafer Tawil WAV

Jerusalem-born and Brooklyn-based Zafer Tawil is an accomplished Palestinian musician who specializes in the oud, ney, vocals, violin, qanun, and Arabic percussion. Tawil performs worldwide and holds workshops in the oud technique and Arabic music theory. He’s continuously exploring the boundaries of Arabic music and has worked collaboratively on many concerts involving classical Indian and Persian music, as well as jazz fusion.

For this pack, Tawil recorded the sounds of the oud, qanun, violin, dumbek, riq, ney, and frame drum. He layered multiple instruments and percussion together to create stacks of Arabic compositions. The result is a stunning compilation of the unique and shimmering sounds of Palestine with loops ranging from low to high BPM, as well as one-shots for total customization in your productions.

Splice-produced recording sessions and sample collections from acclaimed musicians with unique perspectives, with each pack focused on a specific instrument, sound or performance.
